Operation Ore Breaks up Kid Sex Ring

PHILLIPINES – International child porn task force Operation Ore brought down one of the largest cyber rings in recent history over the weekend, British authorities reported.

A now-defunct web cam site called Honeydoll.com charged cyber customers just under $100 to watch and direct underage children having sex in 30-minute sessions.

After a raid on a warehouse in a remote part of the Philippines, Operation Ore agents reportedly discovered the central hub of the child porn site, which was run by a Philippine man working under the alias of Brett Johnson, also known as Dublin-born Robert Johnsten, authorities said.

Johnson reportedly eluded police at the time of the raid and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The children being used in the webcams were as young as 11-years-old. Authorities first got the tip from a waitress in a bar who said that local children were being paid to act out "grotesque" sex scenes. Authorities have so far been able to determine that the cam site was also being used as a way for pedophiles to purchase children for sex.

Based on information recovered from Honeydoll hard drives, agents have so far tracked 5,000 pedophiles from the UK, Europe, the U.S., and Asia through credit card information. Arrests are expected in the coming weeks.
